Gotta Love the Kiddies
I was asked by one of the Sunday School teachers to help out with the children's ministry over a month ago. Yesterday was the first day I actually sat in to observe and help out the class. Man, those children are crazy! I don't remember being so rowdy in Sunday School. There were all over the place, not respecting the space of other kids nor the authority of the teachers. Somehow the teachers were able to get the children to sing with great soul and to teach them a lesson on selfishness v. generosity.
I admire their innocence and curiosity as young children, but I also see how the world is starting to taint them. Children have fascinated even the great philosophers over the years. Their way of thinking flies without rules and at least for the time being, explores outside of the box. They are allowed to be creative and to create. The Lord is giving me this opportunity to bless these young ones and to be blessed in return for my service. I look forward to the new years and the challenges these children will offer!
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. Psalms 14:2
