As I punched at random keys on my laptop at my desk alone and distant from lingering people just ten feet away from me, I carelessly stumbled over the blogsite of an old college buddy. His site not created for public mockery but rather an uncapped expression of his observations as he journeys from the midwest to the world he has never encountered until now, remains untapped except by a few privileged to know of its existence. I think to myself that though I considered him one of my closest friend just four years prior, I feel as though my eyes upon his near sacred words violate some sort of law. Not of legalistic law but perhaps one of respect. Whatever the this may be, I find myself only thirsty to read more, waiting for another day's entry about a rude encounter or an edgy explanation. Though his thoughts appear incoherent and he writes a lot about a little, the intensity of his words capture me in such a hypnotic way I can not deny. He must be among the top five smartest people I have known in my life. He creates, he thinks, he analyzes, and he conquers. I only wish one day our paths will cross again.
