Too often Christians and seekers are looking for "an experience" when they worship or come to see what "church" is all about these days. Worship is not about having our feelings moved or about an emotional experience. Worship is not about gaining a good feeling or leaving overwhelmed by emotional tears. Christians should not gather solely for the social aspect of fellowship or the convenience of activities. Our purpose to join together as local assemblies is for the church body to focus on who Christ is and how He has given us the greatest love of all loves... how He is the miracle in our lives... how if we comprehend even an ounce of His love, we would live radically for Him. We gather to learn each other, challenge one another, and encourage and equip the next person. Worship is about glorifying the Lord's name; learning His word; serving our brothers/sisters; blessing others; praising Jesus' name; striving toward a holy life like that of our Lord Jesus. May our vision be clear and pure before the Lord!
