WHIRLWIND

A buddy in Seattle, Jesper, had asked me for my snail mail address last week... and so I was expecting a box of flaming poop, given our constant friendly banter-like friendship. To my disappointment, he chickened out on the flaming poop and sent me a wedding invitation. For the past few months I thought this girlfriend person who soon became his fiance was not only fictitious but also fabricated to make me jealous. My heart sank about 800 meters when I opened the invitation to see a picture of my buddy with another girl. oh well... c'est la vie.

Three surprise parties later, I am still kicking and screaming like a maniac. Ok, ignore the previous sentence, I just felt like writing that. Let me start over... three surprise parties later, I am still alive and happy. Tuesday's surprise engagement party for Texas JeTsou and Byron was a success... sneaky Jimbo and i got her gooood! Wednesday they got me back... yes, my friends made me feel special and loved. i was happy that evening. CQ gathered a few of my buddies in the SF area for a UnBirthday/Appreciation night for ME! they even wrote poems for me and performed a puppet show too. what more can a girl ask for when she has friends who will rap and sing for her?! The big quarter century - 25 - Saturday night we threw another surprise pty for my Gou Gou, my big bro. Hot Pot, Korean BBQ, Tapioca Milk w/ Cantelope dessert, big juicy strawberries, etc... it was a night of stories and food galore!

Watched The Core... out of five stars, I give it a 2... maybe a 2.5, with the extra half point for the 5 seconds Aaron Eckhart had his shirt off in the second half of the movie. Even though I am not a scientifically inclined intellectual, the movie seemed to neglect some common sense and basic physics... the entire time I had to remind myself that "this is a movie" and would never happen in reality. I guess I am just the type who does not like the far-fetched imaginative intangible movies... hmm.

My sixteen year-old sister told me she wants to get married when she is twenty-five. I guess if I were to follow her time-line, I have a good one year and three months to figure out my future, eh?! HA! My 70 year-old client has a mail-ordered wife... i hear another buddy is going back to his mother land to find himself a fobby wife... yadee-yadee-doo...

I watched another movie, Music From Another Room, starring Jude Law... maybe it's his sexy accent that always catches my attention... though I will say he is sweet eye-candy in his earlier movies!

My friend/neighbor generously surprised me with a Frisbee on Friday! I am beyond thrilled to have my very own Ultimate Frisbee frisbee! Yahoo!

At church on Sunday, I had to play counselor... what the heck am I suppose to say to a fourth grader who is crying her eyes out during Sunday school b/c two other girls in the classroom were teasing her and saying she is weird? Of course I just want to laugh b/c to me it is so elementary; however, I knew that if I did laugh, the situation would just be worse. So I let the one girl have her space and sit in the other room... after class, we had a heart to heart... we prayed... and we ate lunch together... then the other two bullies/girls came around to play with the one girl, and they were friends again... kids I tell you, kids! funny, the lesson for them that day was about forgiveness.

Oh yeah, at my surprise appreciation night, the gang presented me with an incredible bouquet of flowers, arranged oh so beautifully! I was touched by the gesture as well as the elegance of the arrangement! (San Francisco Florists and Gifts 120 Howard St 94105 (415) 621-3668)
