A Higher Righteousness

Made a quick trip down to Los Angeles this weekend. Church service touched upon a lesson I myself have been learning over the past months, one of pride and humbleness. Taking the high road is never easy to swallow, especially when time after time I find myself at the short end of the situation. The msg challenged the listeners to follow through with the hard good rather than the easy bad... to do what is righteous rather than what seems humanly natural... to react unselfishly, and with consideration to the larger plan of the Lord... to work through situations instead of desparately wanting to escape, to runaway, or to get out of them... to take and own responsibility and not pass on the blame... to be honest and transparent with ourselves and with those arround us. Be real!

When pride comes, then comes disgrace; but with the humble is wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2
