Drunk From the World

Sipping on coca-cola and rum
Shawn just wanted to have some fun
He did not expect to open his eyes to the pounding
brought upon himself from all the drinking
He could not sit up
couldn't even talk with his hiccups
so he said to me
golly gee
last night was a mistake
now i have a headache
i can't live my life like an earthquake
no more
i'm crushed down to the floor
ready to snore
but i just want to once again
SORE...

Sitting in church ready to burp
half asleep
The msg he heard:
Do Not Be Of This World
God was talking to him
directly at him
Shawn realized somebody cares
even when life just aint fair
so he decided to give
God another chance
so he can live
and still dance to trance

He finds himself at a club tonight almost in a fight
but what do you know, he's praying to let go
his heart is free and he smiles with glee
this time he will not punch
he will not flee
he will eat some peanuts and drink some more coke
and maybe crack a few more jokes
no more sweatin' nor misunderstanding
just letting life
